Angus was educated at Wolverhampton Grammar School and after a short spell as an officer in the Royal Artillery studied law at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.  He worked for six years at magic circle firm Freshfields specialising in commercial property and then spent six years in Manchester with Addleshaws, becoming a partner there.  He then set up niche commercial property firm Land Law LLP over 16 years ago.

Land Law has become one of the leading North West property law firms with an excellent reputation and team of senior lawyers with a first class client base.  Angus is recognised in legal publications as a leading individual amongst NW lawyers in his field.

A consistent feature of Land Law has been its adaptation and use of information technology within the business.  Clients are able to view in real time all activity with their files – the client sees what the lawyer sees.  The firm hosts data on significant property portfolio’s and utilises the TreeVue platform for this purpose.

Furthermore Angus remains keen on playing any sport and is Chairman of the Governors at Bowdon Preparatory School close to where he lives.
